Louis Boyang
I’m driven by the fact that the natural beauty of flowers is fraught with the unknown—watercolor and graphite merely being the mediums I have yet to tame and that, quite possibly, I’ll never be able to tame. But that’s exhilarating to me. I paint and draw flowers to instead let the process bloom, searching for the beauty in nature that the universe has so benevolently given to us, yet always cognizant that each painting will just be a small increment to fully understanding a flower’s whole.
