​Kidney Cancer Research Funding Advocacy

Louis Boyang, representing Joey’s Wings Foundation, partnered with KidneyCAN, a coalition committed to advancing kidney cancer research and supporting patients since 2023. Louis engaged with members of Congress and their staff—either in person in Washington, D.C., or virtually—to advocate for increased funding for kidney cancer research. Alongside other kidney cancer advocacy groups, he helped successfully secure passage of a 2024 bill allocating $50 million annually to the Kidney Cancer Research Program (CDMRP/KCRP) through both chambers of Congress.
