He hasn't give it a name yet.
This is probably one of the pieces that he used more watercolor than pen and ink. He is trying to experience with more colors in his work.
Max used both traditional watercolor and a little bit of interference watercolor for this piece.
Just got the news! Max's these two artwork got selected into "Gimme Shelter" exhibition by Ciel Gallery in Charlotte, NC.
Same as before, it is an adult competition. :-) The acceptance rate was 25%, and Max is one of few artists to have two pieces selected. The gallery said that it is "the largest juried exhibition entry pool to date".
We are so proud of Max! It seems that the boys are taking turns exhibiting.
The boys finally took over the dinning room.
They used to use the dinning table when they work, though it became not big enough lately.
Dad insisted in getting them two drafting tables. Mom finally gave in. Here is the new art room/old dining room look like. The dinning table is a divider, so they can put art supplies on it.
Max finished his third piece of the hidden bug trio yesterday.
He drew so many fine details on these, it took him about 18-20 hours on each piece.
